Salt Lake City #2 Then Tooele County Best Place In America To Live

Tooele might be better to live than SLC
Tooele County must be #1 of nice places to live

If Salt Lake City is #2 then Tooele County must be the best place in America to live. According to Magnify Money, SLC, compared to 50 large metropolitan areas finished second as “best place to live”. Actually it graded cities to determine which ones had the most balanced lifestyle using a criteria based on things like housing costs, commute times, income, etc

Since Tooele County is thought of as a bedroom community of Salt Lake, it stands to reason that if those cities like Stansbury Park, Erda UT & Lake Point UT that are just off the freeway test out better we could vault to number one.

The area where the capital tested very high was in percent of income spent for housing. At 20% this is 1% less than the average. It stands to reason then that if housing costs are significantly less in Tooele County than Salt Lake then the Utah rankings improve even more.

And are they ever!!!!

The average cost of a home in Stansbury Park UT is 40% less than in Salt Lake. That is a huge difference and should certainly give us a big leap on points on that factor alone.

It should also cause you to compare the cost of real estate before you go out looking. Tooele County homes for sale should be on your list.

Here is the article. ENJOY!

U.S. Cities That Offer the Most Balanced Lifestyles

Salt Lake City Offers Balanced Lyfestyle

MagnifyMoney compared the 50 largest U.S. metropolitan areas to find which areas offer residents the most lifestyle balance. The analysis used seven measures: average commute times, share of income spent on housing, hours worked compared to earnings, income inequality, share of residents in good health, whether residents get enough sleep, and the cost of consumer goods and services. Grand Rapids, Mich. ranked first, where:

Generally, housing only costs 18% of income, commutes are under 22 minutes, prices on consumer goods are about 5% lower than the national average, and income inequality is relatively low. Maybe that’s why 56% of the population are reported to be in very good health (the ninth highest), even though 14 other cities have fewer sleep-deprived citizens.

Salt Lake City, Utah came in second with high-paying jobs well above the national median salary and an average 22-minute commute to those jobs. Minneapolis, Minn.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Kansas City, Mo. round out the top five.

This Is What They Said About Salt Lake City Utah

Another city with a vibrant outdoor culture, Salt Lake City takes the number two spot with a score of 81. The key seems to be the widespread prosperity: Salt Lake City has the second-lowest income equality of any metro we reviewed, which is especially impressive considering the median income was $69,490 in 2016, considerably more than the national median of $55,322. And it only takes an average of 22 minutes to commute to those high-paying jobs (about the same as Grand Rapids), where workers spend about an hour less a week than average Americans. Prices for goods and services are about on par with the national average, but Salt Lakers spend 20% of their income on housing — about 1% less than people in the other cities we reviewed. Almost 57% of the population are reported to be in very good health, and more than two-thirds report getting at least seven hours of sleep a night.

I hope by now you realize I was having some fun with the stats that we see popping up on the net each day. I wouldn’t be so bold as to suggest that no other place in the country offered all of the features found in Tooele County.

But I will say after making my own comparisons, It’s a pretty great place to live and raise a family.

If you are thinking of buying a house i would encourage you to give some of the neighborhoods in Grantsville UT or Tooele City a look.
